"This is eternal life, that they may know You, the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." John 17:3

Tonight I'm at my parents' house. My poor mother badly sprained her ankle a while ago and has been having a hard time getting around. Mike and I took a couple days out of this week to spend at their house so I can help out around the house and he can spend some time studying for school. So far it's just been fun living so close to them but now it's turned into a huge blessing - we're glad we're close enough to help!

My mom just became the women's director of The God of Hope Ministries which requires a lot of time and work. I feel so bad for her - shes not one to sit around for long and wants to do a good job in this new role. It seems like bad timing for the sprain, but it's been good to remember Romans 8:28... "We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose," and that Proverbs 16:9... "The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps."

Tomorrow we have some friends from Omaha coming into town - they'll be crashing at our place while they spend the weekend checking out some of TX's great lakes with their wake boards. I hope the water levels are good for them - it's been so dry here. I'm looking forward to seeing them and hosting them!

My dad has been wearing his cowboy hat all day - he loves being a Texan. He makes me happy.
