We spent our Easter weekend up in Austin with my parents. They are so much fun to be with - I am so thankful for them! Here Mike and I are at Mimi's for dessert; Mike enjoyed his first brownie and ice cream in a long time and I loved my fruit plate. Who would have ever thought I'd prefer fresh pineapple to a brownie?? Thanks, Lindora! We always love visiting my mom and dad's church, Austin Ridge Bible Church. It is so encouraging to see the Lord at work in people's lives, prospering unique ministries, and to hear such solid and dynamic teaching!
We always leave refreshed and looking forward to our next visit."I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,' and You forgave the guilt of my sin." Psalm 32:5.
This Easter I have been freshly struck by God's forgiveness. Many things in my life have been leading up to it! I am learning more and more, not from an eternal perspective,
but on an every day basis; He wants to be close to me, He wants me to be free of guilt, but He allows me to feel distant from Him when I sinfully hang on to guilt. Oh, how light and easy it is to live in the freedom and love He has for me!My sweet mother is a leader of MOPS at her church and she made this terracotta pot for me last week. It is especially sweet because she is not very artsy. I love her! I will love having this in my home, a little token of he love for me.
