Sleepover!

Mike was out of town this weekend so my lovely friend Ally came over for a slumber party!!

I picked her up after school and we headed out to Gruene, TX, where we spent the afternoon tubing on the Comal River. It was her first time and really relaxing.

Then we dried off and had dinner at the Gruene River Grill, my favorite restaurant in town. We loved it! Such good food, and our first 'date' together!

After our scrumptious dinner, we strolled around
town enjoying the amazing weather and atmosohere, stopped in the old time General Store for some ice cream cones, and snapped some fun pictures. There were so many picturesque little spots all over the place, I took so many of Ally! I like this one of her a lot.

After a while we headed back to my houe where we put on our pj's, put in a chick flick (duh), and munched on a bag of oreos. For her sake I was hoping I'd be able to stay up as late as teenagers do - I made it to 1:00am! that's when the movie ended and we headed for bed.

Breakfast was buttermilk pancakes with rasberries and real Vermont maple syrup. After breakfast Al handed me her journal in which she had copied down quotes from the Narnia series. She just finished reading all the books and wrote down all of the passages that really stood out to her. She was so excited to clean up from breakfast as I read them all! It was so sweet to see the things that touched her, the analogies she picked up on and that she translated into her own walk with the Lord.

It was such a sweet time with her; we really got to know eachother more and really bonded. I am so sad to see her leaving in a few weeks for camp and then college, and am so blessed to be a part of her brilliant life!
