Home Again, Home Again

Mike and I got home last night from TX. We went house-hunting for 4 days but didn't find a house to rent - that was our goal, but the Lord had different plans. We narrowed the search down to 2 neighborhoods and will keep looking online for rentals that pop up. Both neighborhoods have lots of military families, so we're pretty sure something will be available by the time we need it!

Being in our new city has made us even more excited to get down there! We have some great friends down there, family all around the state, and a few great prospects for churches.

We drove all around Randolph Air Force Base where we'll be stationed, and it is really beautiful! All of the buildings, including the kids' playgrounds, were built in the old Spanish style of design with adobe and red clay roofs. It is all so gorgeous! We went into the Officers Club and it looks like we're gonna have some fun there during the next 2 years. They have a fun bar in the basement and a luxurious pool outside. I love being an Officer's wife!

Well, three and a half weeks to go! This week I am focussing on getting the furniture finished. Next week I'll hopefully finish the house. The next week, the movers come and then the cleaners, and then before we know it we'll be Texans!

(But still a Husker fan).

You might get hurt if you tell them texans your a husker fan, keep tight lipped about that one. I'm excited for you to start your new adventure! You mentioned the kids playground, does that mean something?
