Biker Boy

Well we finally got Mike's motorcycle! We bought it off of some good friends who gave us an unbelievable deal and also threw in a couple of helmets. Thanks Bart and Shan!!

What a cutie my biker boy is.

It has taken a few weeks to make it legal to drive. There are apparently lots of rules and steps to take in order to make your vehicles and yourselves Texans! But recently Mike has started to ride it to work.

We road it home from Bart and Shan's in Houston which is a 3 hour drive from us. Since Mike has never truly ridden before, we took back roads and made it home in 5 hours - lots of great practice!

This whole thing started out as a way to save on gas, but Mike has totally gotten into it and is very excited. Today was the first day he didn't drive it to work and this afternoon said that he was having withdrawls! So cute. I'm so happy that he's enjoying it so much! Now if he'd just teach me how to ride...

Some other exciting new is that my awesome friend Steph is flying in next month to see me for a whole week! She and her husband, Jeremy, moved from Omaha to Nevada a couple of months before we left. So I haven't seen her since the end of June.

I am excited! We have lots of fun things planned and we're going to have a blast. Can't wait to see you, Steph! Thanks so much for sending her, J - Wish we could see you too!!
